Whatsapp is one of the top list best chatting app in the world. It has officially released the fingerprint unlock feature now for all the Android users. Usually, we need to install a third-party app to lock apps like WhatsApp or any other apps to just add/increase a little more security to their data. Keeping that in mind and to form the method quicker and safer at an equivalent time, WhatsApp has now enrolled this new feature in order that you'll just open the app by a fingerprint. it had been previously available for Android Beta users but is now available for all Android users

When it rolled out this feature to apple iOS, support for both Touch ID and Face ID was rolled out simultaneously which suggests this lock would work on every single apple iOS devices with those features. Android, however, is diverse and that’s why only fingerprint support is rolled out at the instant. there's no information if other security measures like Face unlock, or Iris unlock would be added within the future update but chances of that are slim.
How to Enable Fingerprint Lock on WhatsApp
- First, update your WhatsApp to the latest version from google play store if you haven’t already.
- Open WhatsApp in your phone and go to options then tap on settings
- Tap on Account option to open the account settings then tap Privacy.
- Now you will see the fingerprint lock option on the bottom. Top on the options.
- Turn on the fingerprint lock and touch the fingerprint sensor and confirm it.
- You can choose the automatic lock options with modes immediately, After 1 minute, after 30 minutes.
- That's it your WhatsApp fingerprint lock enabled.

The feature is extremely useful for several people, but as of now, Fingerprint is that the only way of Biometric lock that WhatsApp supports, there's no Face unlock or PIN / Password protection. this might be a drag for people that use Entry-level smartphones with no Fingerprint sensor.
